The Trembling
Here's the first post for the trembling. When and Why does one tremble before God?
Some think that we tremble because we are facing the extinction of our ego - our selves - in the face of this deity. For most this may be the case, but for Christians, I believe that this is a non-issue becuause we have already "died" to ourselves, pledging our lives/selves to God. There is no death of a sense of self because this "self" has already been voluntarily diminished. The trembeling occurs simply because we are facing the creator of the universe and we simply cannot comprehend that kind of power. Trembeling out of involuntary awe and fear. This mindset must be kept in mind always. This guides the Christian's actions.
